What to Expect at Your Initial Appointment

After receiving your appointment, you will be asked to arrive at either the Mayo Specialist Centre (Taree) or the Forster Dolphin Suites (Forster). The staff there will be available to assist with any necessary paperwork before seeing Dr Scott.

During the appointment Dr Scott will conduct a comprehensive medical history and perform any relevant physical examinations pertaining to your medical condition. He will carefully review any blood tests or radiology reports previously obtained by your GP.

Dr Scott will then collaborate with you to develop a personalised treatment plan. This may encompass: 

• Lifestyle modifications

• Medication

• Surgical procedures

You will have ample opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. An important part of this process is ensuring you understand and agree with the proposed treatment plan.

What to Bring to Your Initial Appointment:

• Results of previous blood tests or radiology examinations (if available). If you do not have the results, please provide information regarding where and when the tests were performed.

• A current list of all medications you are currently taking.

• A support person such as a family member or friend is welcome to accompany you.
